Getting Started

Flight Magus is a free personal flight logbook and travel tracker web app. It lets you log every flight you have ever taken, visualize your complete travel history on an interactive world map, track detailed statistics (distance, countries, airports), earn achievement badges, and share your journey with friends. Unlike live flight trackers, Flight Magus is focused on your own personal aviation diary.
Yes, Flight Magus is completely free. There are no hidden fees, no premium tiers, and no paid plans. All features — including the interactive map, statistics, achievements, sharing, and AI-powered import — are available to every user at no cost.
Yes. Flight Magus is a Progressive Web App (PWA), which means you can install it directly from your phone browser without going to an App Store. It works on both Android and iOS devices, works offline, and feels like a native mobile app. Open flightmagus.com in Chrome (Android) or Safari (iOS) and tap "Add to Home Screen".
Adding a flight is simple. After registering, click "Add Flight", enter your flight number (e.g., LH1234) and the date, and Flight Magus will automatically pull all the details — departure/arrival airports, times, airline, aircraft type, and route — from aviation data APIs. You can also add flights manually or import them in bulk from boarding pass PDFs or booking emails.
Yes. Flight Magus has an AI-powered Smart Import feature. You can upload a boarding pass PDF, a booking confirmation email screenshot, or any flight itinerary document, and the AI will automatically extract all the flight details and add them to your logbook. You can also manually import from CSV.

Flight Magus vs. Other Apps

FlightRadar24 is a live air traffic radar that shows you thousands of flights in the sky in real-time — it is for watching planes. Flight Magus is a personal flight logbook — it is for recording and remembering your own flights. With Flight Magus, you build a personal record of every trip you have taken, complete with maps, statistics, and shareable journey cards. They serve completely different purposes.
Flio is a mobile app focused on airport services — lounge access, in-airport navigation, and check-in assistance. Flight Magus is a personal travel logbook focused on recording your flight history, visualizing your journeys, and tracking your aviation statistics over time. Flight Magus works on web and as a PWA, requires no subscription, and is centered on your personal data rather than airport facilities.
Flighty is a premium iOS-only app ($49.99/year) focused on tracking upcoming flights in real-time and providing delay alerts. Flight Magus is completely free, available on all platforms as a PWA, and focused on your complete flight history logbook — past trips, statistics, map visualization, and sharing — rather than just upcoming flight tracking.
If you want to track your own flights (not live air traffic), Flight Magus is one of the best free alternatives. It is a personal flight logbook where you log every flight you have ever taken. It gives you a beautiful map of all your routes, detailed statistics (total distance flown, countries visited, airports), achievement badges, and the ability to share your journey. It is free, multilingual, and works as a PWA on mobile.
